Getting festival off to a twirl
DANCERS Suraya Ahmed and Karyn Eaglesham help launch the West End Festival in Glasgow in colourful style.
The pair were celebrating the official launch of a month-long programme of more than 400 events taking place throughout June on the steps of the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. The dates of this year's event have been extended from Sunday June 1 to Sunday June 29. Sunday June 8 is the day of the parade through Byres Road.
