Confirmation of Graham Gillespie's bankruptcy comes after former friend, Gregg Ross, moved to recover a £500,000 loan, including interest.
His action followed years of costly legal battles between Mr Gillespie, 55, who headed one of the country's most successful family business empires, and his three brothers over the wealth generated by a number of enterprises.
