A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a Husky type dog.

The child was bitten on the face by the animal at an address in Brownhill Place, in the Charleston area of Dundee, late on Monday.

Police and paramedics attended after they were alerted to the attack.

Residents said more than 20 officers were involved, while another said he saw the dog being taken away from the scene by police.

The family of the girl declined to comment.
