Girlfriend murdered after man was freed

A man was free to kill his partner after prosecutors relaxed bail conditions on him.

William Taylor choked Catrina Rae, 32, to death at his flat in the north of Glasgow in July last year.

Taylor, described as a bully and brute, claimed to a jury that his girlfriend of 16 years had taken her own life.
