The event will take place on May 24 and 25 in the Glasgow Green.

The news was announced as Radio1 presenter Nick Grimshaw broadcasted his show live from BBC Scotland in the Pacific Quay, Glasgow.

Radio 1 say they will make more announcements about artists taking part in the event in the coming months.

Calvin Harris, Biffy Clyro and Bruno Mars were the headliners at last year's event which was held in Londonderry.

More than 60,000 tickets are expected to be available to music fans.
