Scotland's biggest city has been named as the chattiest city in the UK on the social network.
Online analysts PeerIndex counted 148 million posts from the UK in the last three months of 2012. People from Glasgow – which has a population of 598,000 – sent 9.7 million of these, making it the UK's chattiest location measured in tweets by population size. It pipped Belfast to the talkative title, followed by Liverpool, Cambridge, Oxford, London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Newcastle.
