Gold panners find human remains

Two gold panners have found human bones in a stream near an old cemetery.

The men found a skull and part of a femur on Sunday as they worked in a burn near Wanlockhead in Dumfries and Galloway. It is thought they may come from paupers' graves outside the nearby Meadowfoot Cemetery.
