A CORNER of Scotland will forever be Trumpland, the US business magnate has pledged.

Donald Trump revealed that his golf course near Balmedie, Aberdeenshire will always be in the billionaire's family.

Mr Trump made his comments ahead of the golf season opening and amid fears that he would turn his back on Scotland for a recently acquired site in Ireland.

Plans for a second course and hotel remain on hold while Mr Trump fights proposals for offshore wind farms, which he says would ruin the view.

Meanwhile, Mr Trump said business at the 18-hole Trump International Golf Links course on the Menie estate had never been better.

He said: "We cherish the existing course and are immensely proud of it.

"It's a very special place to me, to the company, to Aberdeen. It will never be sold and will always be in the Trump family."
