Grand Master says plans to axe parades are a dishonest sham
Plans to effectively ban marches through central Glasgow and axe so-called return parades are “a dishonest sham” that will be fought through the courts, Scotland’s most senior Orangeman has claimed.
Ian Wilson, Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland, said the proposals by Glasgow City Council on a new policy governing all parades within the city were an attempt to bully his organisation into giving up their right to celebrate their traditions.
