A new audio recording has emerged of what appears to be a further discussion between former Rangers owner Craig Whyte and Charles Green.

The clip apparently features Mr Green, who quit as chief executive after claims about his business associations with Mr Whyte, talking about a deal for the club. It follows the release of several other recordings of the two men.

In an apparent briefing to Mr Whyte, Mr Green says: "You had to make a decision and on the basis of what you heard from Blue Knights, Miller and with respect to you Brian, this is a seriously different deal. So you've backed it."

The clip's source or origin and the date it was made is unclear from the recording. The identity of Brian is not known.

Mr Whyte has claimed that he formed his own consortium when Rangers went into liquidation, making Charles Green the face of the bid to buy the stricken club. Mr Green denies this.

Meanwhile, chairman Malcolm Murray suffered a vote of no confidence amid claims he leaked sensitive information about the club, it has emerged.
