Gunning for a return

A 25-pounder gun is fired for the first time after being returned to its original location following refurbishment by gunners from the 105th Regiment Royal Artillery

The project got under way after the Royal Artillery Association highlighted the poor condition of artillery in Dunbar.

Sergeant Major Paterson, who led the project, said: "The project was taken on for three reasons: Gunners of yesteryear have more than likely died fighting on this gun during past conflicts, so it is a mark of respect to those men.
