IT'S said that actors should never work with children or animals but Billy Connolly threw caution to the wind yesterday to shoot scenes for his latest film at Blair Drummond Safari Park in Stirling.

The Big Yin has been in Scotland for three weeks to record scenes for the new BBC drama What We Did On Our Holiday, about a dysfunctional family who head to Scotland on a chaotic trip for their grandfather's 75th birthday.

The film also stars David Tennant, One Foot in the Grave's Annette Crosbie and marks the directorial debut of writers Guy Jenkin and Andy Hamilton, the men behind critically-acclaimed BBC series Outnumbered.
