HEAVY rain and wind caused problems for motorists yesterday as flash floods and surface water led to road closures.
Flood alerts were put in place for much of Scotland, with West Lothian seeing the most disruption due to flash flooding.
There were also road closures in Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, while roads in the Central Belt were badly affected by surface water.
