Local government correspondent Gerry Braiden and health correspondent Helen Puttick have been short-listed for reporter of the year at the event on April 24.
Helen's front page revelation last year that GP Dr Iain Kerr had assisted in the suicide of a number of patients is a contender for scoop of the year.
Arts correspondent Phil Miller is in the running for arts/entertainment journalist of the year. Columnist and film writer Alison Rowat has been nominated for interviewer of the year.
Business editor Ian McConnell, his deputy Greig Cameron, and personal finance editor Simon Bain are all up for Financial/Business Journalist of the Year.
Chief sports writer Hugh MacDonald and senior features writer Susan Swarbrick are short-listed in the sports feature writer category. Ian Bell is nominated for columnist of the year and Steven Camley as cartoonist. Gordon Terris has also been nominated for News Photorapher of the year.
