HeraldScotland appoints first TV reviewer, Julie McDowall

HeraldScotland has appointed its first TV reviewer to provide an online-only service to our readers.

From next week, Julie McDowall will be providing her own take on topical TV programmes issues twice a week, in TV: A Tube with a View.

Many of you will already know Julie, one of our most successful and popular writers. She's just completed a two-year Online Dating Blog, a remarkably candid and funny account of her hunt for love on the net.

Now that search has been successful, she's turning her attention to an activity we almost all do, for varying degrees of time each day - watch TV. She'll be typically frank in her opinions, while trying to make you think a bit…and hopefully chuckle.

Julie's appointment coincides with a revamp we've done to our Arts&Ents section, which now includes a dedicated area for general TV&Radio coverage.
