Heroin worth £1m and firearms seized by police in Glasgow

Heroin with a street value of £1 million and a firearm have been seized following a police operation.

Officers acting with a warrant found the drugs at an address in Inverleith Street, Glasgow, at around 9.15am yesterday.

They also recovered tablets, a firearm and ammunition.

Police Scotland said that a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the operation.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The man has been released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
