Hilco UK deal gives new hope to HMV workers

HMV workers were given hope after the collapsed entertainment chain had its debt bought out by a restructuring firm.

The company, which went into administration a week ago after poor sales, employs hundreds of staff in 22 stores north of the Border, and 4000 working at 240 shops across the UK.

It is now effectively controlled by Hilco UK, part of a firm that bought out HMV Canada.
