Historic buildings are put on the map

URBAN walkers are being urged to explore the hidden architectural delights of the south side of Glasgow with the launch of a new series of trail guides.

A heritage group for Pollokshields, which boasts some of the finest Victorian urban housing in Scotland, has mapped out two walking tours for visitors.

Trail one winds its way through the villas in west Pollokshields – taking in designs by prominent architects like Alexander Greek Thompson, HE Clifford and James Millar – while the second walk features tenements and grand public buildings.
