POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned about a family man missing since Thursday.

David Mallin, 42, was last seen leaving Tesco Express on Main Street, Kilwinning, at around 4.10pm.

He is said to spend most of his time at home with his partner but has not returned home or been in touch with his family.

Inspector Stuart McVean at Irvine Police Office is appealing for information.

He said: "Whilst we know that David was last seen about 4.10pm on Thursday, February 5, 2015 leaving Tesco Express in Main Street, Kilwinning.

"We do not actually know where he went afterwards.

"We know that he frequents the walkways and footpaths running along the River Garnock in Kilwinning.

"We are conducting extensive enquiries in the local area in our continuing efforts to find David, including reviewing CCTV footage.

"I would ask that anyone who knows where David is or who has seen someone fitting his description to contact Irvine Police Office on 101.

"I would also ask David himself to contact police to let us know that he is safe and well.

"His family are very concerned about him and want him to come home."

David is described as white, 5ft 6in height, slim build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a green hoody with a Brtish bull dog design on the front.
