THE husband of a US tourist who has been missing for almost a week after she left the family's holiday cottage has appealed for her to return.
As Police Scotland continue their search in the Perthshire town of Aberfeldy for missing Susan McLean, 61, Donald McLean thanked search teams and the local community for their support during the search.
It comes as police are due to carry out checks along the A826 main route out of the town, following potential sightings of Mrs McLean in the area on the night of her disappearance.
Mr McLean said: "This has been a very difficult time for our family. Susan is a loving wife and mother to our sons James and Donald and we miss her terribly.
"Everyone in Aberfeldy has been very supportive and I want to thank all the people who have spoken to the police and given their time to help in our search for Susan.
"We just want her to be here with us, if anyone knows anything that might help to bring her back to our family, please let the police know so that we can bring her home."
Mrs McLean, of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, had been on a two-week tour of Scotland with her family.
She was reported missing from the Moness Resort on the town's Crieff Road at 7.45pm on Sunday. She was captured by CCTV outside the grounds the holiday complex.
Police have carried out extensive searches in the town, with support from Tayside Mountain Rescue Team with search dogs, Operational Support Division, Air Support Unit and the Dive and Marine Unit.
A number of local officers intend to re-visit Aberfeldy between 7pm and 9pm tomorrow (sun), on the one-week anniversary of her disappearance in an attempt to trace further witnesses.
Police want householders to check their sheds, garages and outbuildings for any signs that Mrs McLean may have been there.
She was wearing a black and grey coloured waterproof jacket, beige khaki trousers and light coloured trainers.
Susan is five feet eight inches tall, of medium build, with short fair hair and green eyes.
