THOUSANDS of concert-goers who turned up at the new Hydro arena in Glasgow suffered delays after a gas leak.

Danny Elfman's Music From The Films Of Tim Burton - ran an hour later than billed after the incident forced the evacuation of the complex.

The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), which includes the Hydro and the Clyde auditorium, was evacuated just before noon yesterday after a gas main was damaged by contractors.

Engineers fixed the leak at the complex on the north bank of the River Clyde.
