Ice rink closes due to warm weather

AN ICE rink that was meant to form the centrepiece of a city's winter wonderland celebrations has had to close early after melting because the weather was too warm.

Temperatures soared in Edinburgh on Thursday, with the capital experiencing warmer weather than Barcelona.

The unseasonably mild weather forced bosses at the Edinburgh Winter Wonderland to close the ice rink, as puddles of water began to form on the thinning ice.
