EIGHT illegal immigrants face deportation after police and UK Border Agency officers swooped on a restaurant.

The raid on the Bangladesh Tandoori in Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute, followed a tip-off that the men were working there.

Seven men were detained while arrangements were made to remove them from the UK. Another man must report regularly to the police while his immigration case is concluded

The restaurant owners face a fine of up to £80,000 if they cannot prove checks were carried out before employing the men.
