GOLFER Tony Jacklin will be looking to prove he has still got that swing when he makes his ballroom debut on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The 69-year-old was confirmed as the second contestant in the line-up by the show's host Sir Bruce Forsyth on last night's edition of The One Show, while BBC Breakfast host Susanna Reid is also rumoured to have joined the series.

Reid, who commutes between London and Salford for her duties on the early morning show, will have to find time to fit rehearsals in around her early starts. The news presenter, voted 96th in this year's FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll, is a marathon runner and has appeared on a Children in Need Strictly special in 2011.

Jacklin, who was born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, hit the first televised hole in one in Britain in 1967 before going on to captain the European team in the Ryder Cup four times.

Other names rumoured to be in talks to battle it out for Strictly's glitterball trophy include rugby player Ben Cohen, designer Julien Macdonald, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, model Abbey Clancy and Hairy Bikers cook Dave Myers.

Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz was the first person to be confirmed as taking part, with the DJ and presenter, saying she was "inordinately excited".

She said: "I've got sequins on my lingerie - can I say that? - and I intend to wear nothing but sequins until I get turfed out, which will probably be rather soon, I fear."
