PRISONERS could riot if plans to build a waste-to-energy plant just 50 yards from a maximum security jail are given the go-ahead, it was claimed yesterday.
The Scottish Prison Service has lodged an objection to a planned gasification complex on Perth's Shore Road which would back directly on to Perth Prison's C-Hall.
It claims the jail would not be able to deal with complaints from inmates.
