Kew gardens at risk due to cuts

Specialists at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew have warned that funding cuts will irreversibly damage its ability to help conserve plants and fungi.

Prospect union said 130 science and public engagement jobs will go due to a £5 million reduction in funding from the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, announced in 2010.
