Lasers shone at aircraft

Police are investigating incidents of laser lights being shone at landing aircraft.

Two pilots alerted air traffic control to the use of laser beams as they approached Aberdeen Airport on Tuesday night.

A spokesman for Grampian Police said: "We are making inquiries into two incidents that took place between 9pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday, when it was reported to us by air traffic control in Aberdeen that pilots had reported laser lighting being used as they made their approach to land."
