A TIME capsule from the First World War has been found in a Dundee post office.
The wooden box comes with instructions that it be opened on August 4, 2014, the 100th anniversary of Britain entering the war.
The box was left in a post office building in the city that is now part of a school, but had been moved to the Royal Mail's Dundee East Delivery Office. It is thought to contain letters from troops in what was known as the Great War.
It was tracked down by Janice Kennedy, 56. Her grandfather was a Dundee postman during the war and his diary mentioned it.
Chris Taft from the British Postal Museum in London, said: "We hope we could be present at its opening. It would be extraordinary to see what is inside."
