Archbishop Tartaglia will become the eighth holder of the post since the Reformation, with guests at St Andrew's Cathedral expected to include leading public figures and senior Catholic clergy.
The Pope's envoy in the UK, Archbishop Antonio Mennini, is expected to attend, while some sources within the Catholic lay community are speculating Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, the former Archbishop of St Louis, one of the most prominent members of the Catholic hierarchy in North America and a close friend of Tartaglia's will also attend.
