Linzi Christie, 25, ended up in intensive care with a gaping wound bigger than a football in her abdomen in the wake of giving birth on July 8 to daughter Tiffany.
The care worker needed three operations to beat necrotising fasciitis following birth by Caesarian.
Linzi claims dirty conditions at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy are to blame for her ordeal. "When I went in for my C-section I noticed a disgusting smell in the theatre," she said.
"To get two types of infection in a hospital is absolutely shocking," she added.
The hospital confirmed three recent cases of the flesh-eating bug but insists cleanliness is above national standards.
