Limbering up for Brando role

SCOTTISH Ballet principal dancer Tama Barry plays the brooding lead character in the company's new production of A Streetcar Named Desire.

Barry – pictured at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow –will play Stanley Kowalski, the role made famous by Marlon Brando in the film version of Tennessee Williams's play, performed 65 years ago.

The world premiere of the ballet will open in Glasgow in April before touring to Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Belfast and London.Picture: Jamie Simpson
