Listed building to be wedding hotel

A listed municipal building is to become a boutique hotel as developers seek to capitalise on its popularity with marrying couples.

East Dunbartonshire Council has agreed to sell Grade-B listed Boclair House, one of its former office buildings in Bearsden, to a group that hopes to appeal to wedding parties.

The Tudor Gothic house dates back to 1890 and has a castellated tower and series of archways said to resemble Italian cloisters.
