It's not Baker Street, but the family of one of Scotland's best loved singer-songwriters are delighted after Gerry Rafferty Drive was unveiled as the latest new street in his home town.

Martha Rafferty unveiled one of the Paisley street signs in honour of the late Stealer's Wheel star, who wrote the hits Baker Street and Stuck in the Middle With You. Accompanied by the songwriter's nephew Mark Rafferty, also a musician, she said it would have made her father "incredibly proud." She added: "Pride's definitely what I feel when I see his name on the street sign." It is part of a regeneration of the Shortroods area of the Renfrewshire town, and was picked after a local housing association and the council were inundated with suggestions for names after announcing the plan.
