MacCaig poetry manuscript up for auction

A RARE poetic manuscript of one of Norman MacCaig's most famous poems, Aunt Julia, is set to fetch thousands at auction.

The handwritten, signed, work is among the Scottish highlights of the Roy Davids Collection of poetical manuscripts and portraits to be sold by Bonhams in London in April and May.

The collection, which also features Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson, has been described as the finest collection of poetry ever to come to auction.
