Man, 22, arrested in rape inquiry

A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly raped near a college campus.

The incident is said to have happened in Aurora Avenue, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, at about 9.50pm on Saturday.

The street is near the town's West College Scotland campus.

Police Scotland confirmed a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
