Man, 55, arrested after pensioner robbed

A man has been arrested in connection with the abduction and robbery of a pensioner in April.

The 55-year-old is in police custody over the incident, which involved an 85-year-old woman.

Police said at the time she was targeted by men posing as police officers.

They said she was locked in a room while the two men ransacked her house, in Newlands, Glasgow, stealing "a lifetime of treasures" including jewellery worth more than £10,000 and more than £1000 in cash.
