Man, 60, who crashed quadbike is named by police

A man who died when he crashed his quadbike on a rural road has been named by police.

Donald John MacKinnon, 60, died at the scene of the accident on an unclassified road near Kilbryde Castle just outside Dunblane on Saturday.

Emergency services were sent to the area at around 4pm. No other vehicle is thought to have been involved in the crash.

Mr MacKinnon's family have been informed and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
