Man arrested in connection with Glasgow shooting

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Glasgow's East end.

A man was injured while he was working in a block of tenement flats shortly after 1pm in Westmuir Street, Parkhead, on Thursday, January 23.

Police said the arrest followed a pre-planned operation on Friday.

The man is currently detained in police custody and is due to appear in court on Monday.

A 22-year-old female has also been detained in the same operation in connection with alleged drugs offences.

Police said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
