The 23-year-old was driving on the A71 at Newmilns, East Ayrshire, when he was involved in the crash at around 2.55am on Sunday. Emergency services rushed to the scene and he was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, but he died a short time later.

Man dies after car hits tree
A MAN has died after he apparently lost control of his car, which collided with a tree before spinning back onto the carriageway.
