Man fined £350 after cat neglect

A MAN has been banned from keeping animals for 10 years after he admitted causing his cat unnecessary suffering by ignoring a cancerous tumour on its face.

Brian Donnelly, 66, of Greenock, Inverclyde, had pled guilty to failing to provide vet treatment for his 13-year-old tabby and white cat named Timmy and was fined £350.

The cat was put down after a Scottish SPCA inspector found the cat to be struggling to breathe due to a wound covering his nose, upper lips and cheeks.
