A man has been charged in connection with "offensive comments" posted online after the weekend's Celtic v Aberdeen match.

The 19-year-old from Aberdeen will appear at the city's sheriff court at a later date, police said.

The comments were allegedly made following the Scottish Premier League clash between the two teams at Parkhead on Sunday.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Chief Inspector Murray Main said: "Police Scotland is committed to tackling antisocial behaviour, be it in the street, in a football ground or online on social media sites."
