A MAN has been arrested in connection with the death of a former council leader following an attack in Glasgow city centre.
John Morrison, 50, a former Liberal Democrat leader of East Dunbartonshire Council, was found unconscious in Argyle Street and died later in hospital. Police said Mr Morrison, who was a legal manager at Glasgow City Council, had been the victim of an assault. A 25-year-old man is due to appear in court today in connection with the incident.
