Man remanded over youth's death

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a teenager.

The 17-year-old is believed to have been stabbed during a disturbance in Methil, Fife, in the early hours of yesterday.

Jamie Wishart, from Leven, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court charged with assault and murder.

The 22-year-old made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

He was arrested following the incident in Simon Crescent just after 2am.
