March to mark women’s fight for right to vote

Up to 4000 people, some in Edwardian costume, will march through the centre of Edinburgh on Saturday in tribute to the Scottish women’s suffrage campaigners who staged a similar procession exactly 100 years ago.

The marchers will carry banners and wear rosettes in the colours of the original suffrage campaigners: green, purple and white.
