The Kawa Jaipur Brass Band were among the acts who entertained record numbers have braved torrential downpours to celebrate Glasgow's multi-cultural Mela festival.

More than 42,000 people flocked to the event over the weekend - including at least 30,000 revellers yesterday - for the music and dance extravaganza at the recently opened Kelvingrove Bandstand in Kelvingrove Park. The crowds were entertained by 200 acts including Sukshinder Shinda and Jaz Dhami .
