A memorial bust of veteran BBC rugby commentator Bill McLaren is set to be unveiled in his home town.
Community councillors in Hawick, Roxburghshire, hope that the £5500 statue and a planned rugby heritage centre will draw tourists from all over the world.
Mr McLaren died in January 2010 aged 86.
