Three men have appeared in court after £1.2 million of heroin was seized from a car on a motorway.

Police in Dumfries and Galloway found the drugs in a vehicle on the M74 on Saturday.

Nathan Cook, 26 and James Scott, 25, both from High Wycombe, and Nathan Onden Mushigo, 19, from Milton Keynes, appeared at Dumfries Sheriff Court where they were charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

All three made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.
