A SCOT has died in a plane crash in Thailand while he was on a flight to scatter his friend's ashes.
Tom Grieve, 57, a former member of the Connel Flying Club in Oban, is understood to have died from chest injuries after his microlight aircraft plunged into the Gulf of Thailand.
He was taking the ashes of a friend to be scattered over the sea when the engine failed.
