WRITER and broadcaster John McCarthy examines a granite sculpture of Queen Senet on display in Edinburgh as part of an exhibition, Cairo to Constantinople: Early Photographs of the Middle East, in Edinburgh.
The show documents the journey taken by King Edward VII through the Middle East in 1862.
It is on display at the Queen's Gallery until July 21 and has an accompanying publication with an introduction by Mr McCarthy.
