Ministers reject £100m housing plan for Nairn

A £100 million plan to build a 550-home community on the outskirts of Nairn, creating up to 500 jobs, has been rejected by Scottish ministers.

The development proposed by Deveron Homes was opposed by local people who described it as “a weapon of mass construction”. It was refused by Highland Council last year.
